Peter R. Gordon

Founding Principal & Portfolio Manager

Peter R. Gordon founded Highlands Wealth Advisors in 2011 with a mission to offer personalized and customized wealth management services to anyone with investable assets, not just ultra-high net worth individuals or institutions. Prior to founding the firm, Peter was a Portfolio Manager at Dowling & Yahnke Wealth Advisors, one of the largest independent wealth management firms in San Diego. 

Peter has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with an emphasis in Finance from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Peter earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations, also at the University of Pennsylvania. After tenures at the Pacific Stock Exchange, Morgan Stanley, and Trust Company of the West in Los Angeles, Peter co-founded an executive consulting firm in Boston which focused on private equity and venture capital clients.

Peter loves to travel, try new restaurants, and is active with a variety of area nonprofit organizations. Peter lives in Carmel Valley with his wife and two children.
